Notes from the Archipelago by Noele Lusano

Paperback with flaps, 108 pages
Publishes October 2026

A book about grief, memory, and the objects that return to us.

A woman finds herself on the shore of an unnamed place. At night, the tide delivers bundles wrapped in white cloth: childhood objects, fragments of language, tools, photographs, songs, and other remnants of a former life. She receives each one, studies it, and decides what must be kept, returned, or discarded.

Around her, birds come and go. A makeshift house fills with sand. The sea withdraws and returns. Memory becomes a form of weather, and grief an archive, one that must be sorted, classified, and eventually let go.

A fragmentary lyric work, Notes from the Archipelago inhabits the unstable terrain between memoir and fable. It is a meditation on the labor of mourning, the persistence of beauty, and the strange materials from which a life is rebuilt.

Each copy ships with a scent strip misted with a limited edition orange blossom perfume, Vestige, custom created for the book by the author.
