Terms & Info

All Ex Libris Odoratis books, zines and perfumes are limited-edition items. Unless otherwise stated, orders are processed within 1-10 full business days from the time we receive them.

Our books are printed by a small-scale boutique printer we have chosen for the quality of their work. Books and ephemera may be subject to longer production times due to the delicate and particular processes in which they are created.

All purchases are final. However, if there is a defect or problem with your order please reach out to us at darkdetails@gmail.com within five business days with photos and a description of your issue and we will be happy to assist you.

Shipping

Domestic shipping
U.S. orders ship via USPS Media Mail, Ground Advantage, or Priority Mail.

Media Mail is the most affordable option for book orders, but may be subject to longer service times. Ground Advantage is available for eligible non-book or mixed orders. Priority Mail offers faster delivery and includes tracking and insurance.

For the most secure shipping option, we recommend selecting USPS Priority Mail.

International shipping
We currently offer shipping to select countries outside the United States. While we do our best to keep rates as reasonable as possible, international airmail from the U.S. can be costly.

We are happy to stay in touch about the status of your international order. Please email us at darkdetails@gmail.com and we will return your message within 1-3 business days.

Ex Libris Odoratis is not responsible for customs fees, duties, import taxes, or other charges incurred on international shipments. These remain the responsibility of the purchaser. Please check with your local customs office for any rules, fees, or regulations that may apply.

Lost packages
Ex Libris Odoratis cannot reimburse or replace orders that are marked as delivered by USPS but are missing, stolen, or misdelivered.

If your tracking says “delivered” but you cannot find your package, we recommend the following:

  • Wait one additional business day. Occasionally a package may be marked delivered before it actually arrives.

  • Check around your mailbox, porch, building entrance, mailroom, parcel locker, or with neighbors in case the package was left nearby.

  • Contact your local post office directly, rather than the general USPS hotline. Your local office may be able to check delivery details with the carrier assigned to your route.

  • If the package still does not appear, please file a claim or missing mail request with USPS.

Fragrances

Perfume sold by Ex Libris Odoratis is carefully formulated in compliance with International Fragrance Association (IFRA) standards. These standards are designed to ensure that fragrance ingredients are used safely, based on ongoing scientific research and regulatory guidance. However, individual sensitivities to fragrance ingredients may vary. If you have sensitive skin or are prone to allergic reactions, we highly recommend conducting a patch test prior to using any of our products. To perform a patch test, apply a small amount of the product to a small area of skin (such as the inside of your elbow) and wait 24-48 hours to check for any signs of irritation or sensitivity.
